Hey Everyone,
Just thought that it will be beneficial if we have a list of schools which have rolling admissions. It is always suprising to find out if a school has one if you don't know it beforehand.
Like I was surprised that Darden followed a rolling admission process. I saw this data on the Princeton Review website. I was genuinely surprised. Although I believe that the data is ages-old, or wrong, but I still thought that we should clarify this topic to reduce the element of shock.....

O.K. let me start with the ones I know:

UCLA

McCombs

Addition Guys????

McCombs does.

EDIT: Oops, I didn't read the first post carefully, and missed the obvious. Sorry.

Are you sure UCLA's admission process is rolling? They have round 1 and 2 decision notification dates of Jan 8th and March 26th.

Yes bro.... I am sure about UCLA. The deadlines are very much in effect but between deadlines, the process is rolling. Of course, I am open to being corrected.

Kellogg has somewhat of a rolling admission program. There are seperate rounds but usually they start releasing decisions 5 or 6 weeks after the submission deadline. I found out right after Thanksgiving last year, but I also know people who found out the day of the deadline at like 6pm.

But that does not make it "Rolling" now, does it?? In my view it simply means that the people who got the call earlier were the ones whose file got read earlier. Not necessarily the ones who submitted the file earlier...... Jus my thoughts....

Well the roll out decisions...I think its those they make decisions on first get notified 1st. I submitted on the deadline day so it definitely isnt whose the get first. However, they do let people know on an ongoing basis.

Hmmmm... but my point here is not "roll out decisions". But "application review" on a "rolling" basis of "submission". It actually does not matter (as of now  ) that in what order the decisions come out.....

Rolling decisions will be much more important to you in a few months. Even columbia that is rolling according to what you are talking about still gives people decisions in slightly different orders. If you are a super star and there is no debate you will find out a lot sooner than someone who the adcoms are going to debate about. So when someone who submitted a few weeks after you to Columbia gets in then it will probably drive you crazy.

Rolling decisions are nice for R1, because you have the potential of finding out about a school very early and that can save you a lot of time and money on R2 applications.

Are you saying UCLA reads apps and renders decisions in the order received?

I don't think UCLA is rolling, it actually doesn't really make sense to have rolling rounds because then is there really a point in having a deadline.

I found this at the website

Applications in any round are evaluated only after the previous round's decisions are released. All applications in a round are assembled and considered together after the submission deadline is past.

I believe "considered together" as the everyone in the same round no matter how early or late is evaluated together.

yeah, i'm reading the website for UCLA and having deadlines like that kind of defeat the whole purpose of a "rolling admissions".....

Looks like Oct 9th is the date....ugh

I am pretty sure UCLA, like Kellogg, has rolling DECISIONS. Both websites say something like "Decisions rendered by" instead of "Decision notification date".

I don't believe Darden has rolling admissions. It's not something that I've really ever thought about, but I do recall logging in at a specific time on a specific night last year to get my decision from Darden.

I still disagree that UCLA is rolling.

This is from the website.

"All applications in a round are assembled and considered together after the submission deadline is past. "
