Hi Aviralmanit111,

So, the good news is that you are in a pretty nice spot!

That said, you must continue to find your holes and fix them to improve your score. Topical practice is a great way to do that.

For example, let’s say that you want to practice Number Properties. You can do so by answering 50 or more questions just from Number Properties: LCM, GCF, units digit patterns, divisibility, remainders, etc.

After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, if you got a remainder question wrong, ask yourself why. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?

By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GMAT quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant, verbal, and DI topics.

For some more advice, here is a great article you can check out:

Hi all,

Thanks all for helping me out in my previous post.

I am now standing around 595 (MBA dotcom official mock). (QA- 84, VA- 78, DI- 77)
The real stress is ISB R2 deadline is near, and I am not ready with at least 645 score still.
I am trying to write essays in parallel and fill out the ISB form on their portal.

Please help me how should I get this away with?

Thanks all for your kind suggestions in advance!

Aviral

Hi Aviralmanit111,

Yes, it is a good idea to work on your essays in parallel. As for your exam, you should consider taking it soon (if you're open to retaking), to give yourself one more shot if necessary.

Also, don't focus too much on the score for now. Some decisions (retake/apply) can be taken after your GMAT.

Hey Aviral,

Are you able to share your recent mock exam results (e.g. screenshots of chart showing time pressure)? What were the major issues for you?

Quant 84 is good enough for 645 if you can push DI up to 80 and VA up to 80+. Do you feel like you can push the quant score up higher?

Hi Nosaj,

Thanks for writing back.

I am able to do 17-18 correct in quant, can be pushed higher. But VA and DI are stuck, unable to increase there. Feeling pressured as I type this.

For the time chart, I don't think so it was available on the website.
