Hi all,
Hope you're well. Today, I took my GMAT Focus (Overall - 635 | Q78, V85, DI81). I was hoping to achieve a minimum 645 and a dream 645+ score.
Exam Reflection-
Q: I had averaged an Q81 in past 5 mocks, so I am disappointed in the real performance
-
V: At maximum score on previous mocks - need to continue to hold an 84/85 performance
-
DI: At maximum score on previous mocks - definitely room for improvement here
Testing Issue- My exam order was Q, V then DI
- During my test, I decided to take my break after Quant because I had gotten flustered with time and felt it was best to pause and go to the bathroom etc
- I had clicked 'start break' and indicated to the proctor I was going to exit the test room
- The proctor came into the test room and asked me to exit the break (thereby starting the next screen with a 30s duration before the verbal section)... I told the proctor that I wanted to take my break... and she quickly realised and logged in to stop the test... which is what I thought would happen
- I came back from my break (4 mins) just to go to the bathroom and another proctor re-started the test
- I said OH... I've lost 4 mins on this section... and had to jump in straight away
After the test- The proctor explained to me that the issue would be noted in my test and a case has been created
Questions- What are the likely implications of this odd experience? (Is the likely outcome that this score could be cancelled and that I'd need to re-take the exam? OR is there potential GMAC might bump my score up on verbal...? One can dream)
- What should I do? Is it worth the time to complain? (Given I have one more test booked in... and I'm still a bit off where I want to be?)
Thanks in advance for any advice.
