Hi BS55,
You mock scores in Verbal show a clear lack of understanding of the fundamentals. You need to brush them up before you go ahead and solve another mock CAT. The best way to identify your shortcoming is by drilling down deep in your mistakes. Analyse your test thoroughly and see which problem types (CR, SC or RC) are troubling you. You need to then drill down deeper and identify the question topics that are causing a problem for you.
SC question test your knowledge of Subject, Verbs, Modifiers, Parallelism etc. CR questions test you on Conclusion, Assumption, Strengthening and Weakening. RC again tests you on the similar lines as the CR questions.
To improve you need to figure out your problem.
What has been your accuracy in the CR, SC and Rc questions respectively?
Hi BS55! Your GMATPrep Verbal scores consistently indicate that a fundamental reorientation is needed in your Verbal preparation.
While you've not mentioned which of the sub-sections in Verbal is your weakest, thought I would mention that our sentence correction book Sentence Correction Nirvana is perhaps the only book that offers a score improvement guarantee, and is especially designed for non-native speakers.
After reading the book twice (yes! it's an academic book, and so must be read twice in all seriousness, to reinforce the concepts), you will start looking forward to solving SC questions!
The book is available on Flipkart and Amazon.in. You might want to refer to these sites, to also read testimonials of how readers have benefited.
If you want to sample a chapter before deciding to go ahead with our book, please PM me your mail-id (along with the chapter that you would like to sample) and I will be happy to send that chapter to you by mail. In addition, the entire Grammar section of the book is also available for free preview at pothi.
