I'm in a bit of a pickle here, guys. Both schools seem great to me. I'm a 32-year-old male Indian based in the middle East (UAE-Dubai), I've been working here in the retail sector for 7 years, specifically in distribution. Post MBA: similar industry or Amazon. Open to exploring other areas. Location : Europe or UK.

I am leaning towards IMD because of the program structure and leadership focus. Also, I have a basic level knowledge of french and intend to build up on it. Not sure if that's really a strong positive though. My intention is to work in EU/UK for a few years then head back to Dubai. A big factor to consider is the fees, IMD costs a lot more (108k$ compared to SDA 70k$) . What do you think ?
Hey Susheel,
I'd say IMD here is an easier choice. The $$ difference here isn't substantial enough to tilt the needle towards SDA. In the longer run, IMD would more than compensate you for the extra $$ that you've to put in now. So, bite the bullet now and take the IMD offer in my opinion.
Wish you the best with whatever choice you may make!

SDA Boconni being in Milan (a hub for luxury retail) will provide edge in retail recruitment, however the IMD MBA program is a more robust and well established one in the EU market. Additionally, the small class size and access to all EU markets are some of the hallmarks of the program, hence that would be my default choice. Do work with the admission committee on the finances to figure if there is any additional aid available.

IMD is more established and better known, especially amongst recruiters.

I haven't heard much about Bocconi but an alum once told me that they selectively contacted their grads for the employment surveys in order to boost their rankings in short time. Something to check is whether Bacconis employment report is 3rd party audited. There's a company that does it globally and they list the schools on the website. I recall IMD was on it.

Good luck.

Defixon thank you for the advise, much appreciated ! . I tried checking online couldn't find it. However, will keep looking and hopefully will make a decision soon !

SusheelKumar are you in the process of applying to these schools or do you have the admit decisions?

In my opinion, IMD holds a considerably stronger MBA brand and significantly better post MBA opportunities.
