Hello there!
I am seeking advice regarding a study plan and material to use in order to improve upon my gmat score of 700. I took the gmat for the second time in September 2018 and scored 700 Q47, V38, IR 5, AWA 5 ( an improvement from 650 Q49, V31, IR 4, AWA 6). I applied to five of the top 30 b schools in the US, but didn't make the cut.
I plan on applying again in round 1 this year and would like to boost my gmat score to 740 (Q50, V41). I have studied by myself and used the gmat club math book and regularly solve 700 level questions from the question directory. I have done some
gmat club tests on days that they are available for free. That is pretty much it regarding my quant preparation so far.
My verbal prep has been similar as I continue to teach myself by solving questions posted in the sc, cr and rc directories. In addition to this, I've gone over most, if not all of Thursdays with Ron videos.
This is where I need your help! I'm solving questions one topic after another on the forum but is there a better and structured way to improve upon my quant and verbal scores? Should I purchase the OG and solve all questions, would that help me get to Q 50 and V 41? Or are the questions more suitable for beginners? Secondly, I really want to purchase
gmat club tests and would probably do so soon. Would completing all those tests prepare me well enough? I feel that my basics are pretty strong, as I took free gmat club quant and verbal tests cold on St. Patrick's day in March and scored the same as I did on the real thing last September.
Thanks for reading till the end and I'll be grateful for any advice, tips or thoughts that you may have!
