I'm thinking of taking GMAT before CAT 2019. I'll schedule it in the first week of September. Im quite ambitious about this with my target score being 730+.
Due this tight deadline and the workload of my freelance projects, I can't rely upon the standard 2-3 month plan. Or buy the bulky materials and attend the coaching institutes.
I'll be devoting 7 hours (6 studying + 1 analysis) daily. Now, I'll be upfront. I have not studied these concepts for a long time. But I took the CAT test last year and had a pretty good percentile of 89.xx.The diagnostic test in the
OG 2019 was quite doable. I also took the Mini GMAT and the score prediction was too low, 600- 650 (?). Still I am aiming for 730+.
What should be my approach to prepare a study plan? I don't need a concrete plan, I'll pick and polish my weak areas along the way.
Also, do I really need to buy the Manhattan Quant series and CATs?
Posted from my mobile deviceIf you're telling me you're impressed with 89 percentile on CAT, I believe an Indian exam, You might not be able to score a 730 in 15 days, unless u have something up your sleeve
Now after that rude and insensitive comment of mine
You can get that 730 without investing that 6 hour everyday
Let's start from the beginning
First, watch this link.
https://gmatclub.com/forum/beginner-to- ... s#p2313182 A man can take out 2 hours from his daily life, if you cannot, seriously, you need a new job, exploitation rights if you know what I mean
Do Verbal in a meaningful way
You need only the official material given the time constraint
Try 15 SC ;10 CR; 4 RC daily until you finish
the official guideThat should take you 2 months
As you're from India, Jamboree online course works at 10 PM in night for you.
That course is good for you
You're a busy lad, you're arguably intelligent, sure
But Please make sure you're a realistic lad
Know the concepts, give first test (official mock) and see where you currently stand
If you got an honest 700, well forget anything I said and give the test.
If you get a 600+ score, you can give the test a month or so later to get a 700.
If you're below 600, not a good idea to give the test, you'll just waste your money, but its your choice in the end
Instead follow the verbal plan as I mentioned in the link, you'll need 15 days for momentum phase, that time you can invest 6 hours per day to get to a 730
But right now, it would be wise to know the current level
So know all the question types and strategies, should take about 2-3 days, and give a test
