Excellent question, to be honest. On my first GMAT attempt, I was pretty nervous at the start because I couldn't locate the schools my choice. As a non-American, I quite did not remember the states in which those schools are located - exam anxiety made matters worse. Therefore, I would recommend that you know the country and the state of your 5 b-schools. For instance, if you plan to apply to Kellogg, you must be able to quickly find Kellogg under the schools listed in Illinois.

Hi everyone!

A stupid question, but still how to choose the schools on the test day? Should I memorize the code of my desired program in particular school where I’d like to send the result?

Posted from my mobile device

You may like to go through the following:-

"Before your test day, decide which programs you want to receive your GMAT™ scores. When you arrive at the test center, and prior to starting the GMAT Exam, you will select up to five schools/programs to receive your Official Score Report."

Reference:
https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat/plan-for ... -decisions

Though mba.com is silent about memorization, I would recommend you to do so as sometimes it would lead to unnecessary ambiguity and stress when you don't find the programs through the search and auto-suggestion. Hope this helps!

Hi LidiiaShchichko,

On Test Day, there's a search tool that can help you to find the Schools that you want to send your Score to. If you have not made any decisions on where you want to apply yet, then that's fine (for example, if you're not planning to apply for several years, you might not have put too much energy into determining the exact Schools that interest you). That having been said, you might still consider choosing some Schools that make sense (re: some 'dream' Schools and some 'local' Schools) - since it will cost you an additional fee to have your Scores sent later on (currently, the fee is $28 per School).

1) When are you scheduled to take the Official GMAT?
2) What is your Score Goal?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs/mocks (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi LidiiaShchichko,

As already said, you can search the schools to find the appropriate code.

When is your actual GMAT? Do you need any advice regarding your study plan?
