Please explain "the same...............as" and "the same............that" in usage.

I'm not too sure that I can explain it, but if one of the choices was " A letter by Mark Twain, written in the same year as The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", it would be acceptable. Not great, but acceptable.

So this question isn't entirely related to your issue.

The guy who runs sentencecorrection.com can probably explain it pretty well...

I think when we say , same year that. ..we are explaining the year
whereas, When we say, same year as....we are comparing.

it is from OG right?
A wrong because of "WERE"
AS also has problem but I cannot explain. it sound like BECAUSE

Please explain "the same...............as" and "the same............that" in usage.

Please explain "the same...............as" and "the same............that" in usage.

"The same .....as " compares the book not the year.
"the same....as...of" wud have been better.
