What is the source of this sentence?
I ask because the phrases "Project Planning" and "Marketing Strategy" are both capitalized, so it's unclear whether they are meant to be TWO different aspects of the "Performing Arts" (which is also capitalized) or if the ENTIRE PHRASE is meant to be ONE thing (for example, a book titled "Project Planning and Marketing Strategy for the Performing Arts"). Without knowing the "intent" of the sentence (re: is this MEANT to be singular or plural), we don't have a clear answer. Personally, I think that it's meant to be a plural subject, but we don't have proof either way. This type of ambiguity almost never occurs on the Official GMAT; in the rare circumstances that it does, the 5 answer choices are almost always written in such a way so as to clear up the ambiguity.
