Hi Lakshyamanchester,

To start, SCs are 'technical' in nature (similar to how Geometry questions require that you have knowledge of the proper formulas), so you first need to know the major grammar/idiom rules (and when they apply) to score higher in this category. However, it's not clear how you have been training for SC so far, so before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have been preparing for the GMAT since mid December, and proper sentence correction since last 2 weeks.

I have watched veritas videos and read the aristole sentence correction book. Both helped me a lot. My GMAT is on first week of April.

So accordingly, so can suggest me some tips to further improve.

Hi Lakshyamanchester,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores. From what you have described, you have been studying for a little over a month, so there's a good chance that you'll naturally improve over time as you continue to study.

You didn't answer all of the questions that I asked in my prior post - and that additional information is important to assessing your overall timeline and goals. If you have not taken any practice CATs/mocks yet, then you really should take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon (perhaps this weekend). That initial diagnostic CAT is important - it helps to define your strengths and weaknesses and gives you a basis for comparison as you continue to study. Most Test Takers are not happy with that first CAT result, but that's not a big deal - the extra months of available study time are there so that you can IMPROVE on that initial practice result.

1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) You named some study materials that you used for SC, but what other study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
