Profile ...........Hello!
Female/27years old
Planning to take GMAT in October
Education:
Bachelors of Technology in JNTU(india)
Post graduation- joined Amazon.com as a customer service associate (while pursuing for masters)
Worked for Amazon.com for 2 years and promotoed to team leader in a year (one of the youngest in my batch). Lead a team of 40 and learnt great leadership and management there.
I came to pursue Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in University of Bridgeport
Graduated in 2020 and working for Harvard stem cell institute and Boston children’s Hospital in Research ever since.
I guess working here made me realize as much as I love science, I like to be in leadership and organization roles and also I am finding a huge gap in leadership and employees in non profit organization. I want to pursue MBA and improve my skillset and change my career path into more of leadership roles preferably in health care non profit organizations.
I have no target schools as of yet. I am based in Boston so first preference is Harvard and BU. However I am not sure how to connect the dots between past and current experience. Thanks in advance
Thanks for sharing! You have a strong profile:
Amazon leadership early on (WOW managing 40 people!!!! very unique at such a young age! story number 1 for MBA essays

) + your master’s + research at Harvard.
Your career goals seem to be aligned to your past and to the why MBA...
The key is connecting Amazon → science → MBA goals. You can frame it as leadership foundation + healthcare expertise = now ready to lead in healthcare/nonprofits.
I understand Boston is your preference. Harvard is always a stretch but luckily there are other options there (MIT, BU, BC, Babson...) Of course there are other strong MBA programs with a strong healthcare track like Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Wharton and Kellogg

hi, i’m from india, 26 Y old. my profile is, 4 Years experience in startup food industry. i have bachelors in biotech (7.2/10 GPA) and masters in food science (8.6/10 GPA). planning to take GMAT. not much volunteering experience. could you please give me some tips to build my profile. and which country i shouldlook apart from US and UK. TIA
Thanks for sharing! Your academic background + work experience sound solid! plus startup in the food industry sounds super interesting! (especially if you can take it towards meatless meat, non-dairy milk etc.)
I hope you have some leadership or impact stories from work (like launching a product, leading a project, or driving growth)? and trying to build even a small volunteering or extracurricular activity to strengthen your profile.
This plus a strong GMAT and a fantastic application (Talk to me about that

) can get you into any top school.
Outside the US and UK, consider programs in Europe (like France, Spain, or the Netherlands) or Asia (like Singapore) — they’re often shorter, more affordable, and strong in food/agri-business too.
You can see on our website the rankings of the various EU and Asian programs:

GOOD LUCK!
