Hi, Can someone please explain why A is not the correct answer?

Use of Bleaso does not improve the life time of the fabric material used in clothes.

This option talks about " improving the lifetime of the fabric " which is not mentioned in the argument and is not a part of it. Clearly, this shouldn't be the answer.

Cheers

Serpil recently launched its first commercially available "self-activated" laundry detergent Bleaso that contains bleach combined with the soap components. Consumers who tried Bleaso used a smaller additional amount of bleach to brighten their clothes than those who used regular detergent, and the outcome was equivalent for both groups of consumers. Regular detergent costs less than Bleaso and the money consumers using Bleaso save on bleach seldom goes above their additional costs for Bleaso. Therefore, for most consumers, savings on washing costs would be unlikely if they substitute their regular detergent with Bleaso.

The conclusion above assumes which of the following?

A. Use of Bleaso does not improve the life time of the fabric material used in clothes.(focus on this line outcome was equivalent for both groups of consumers

B. The clothes washed with Bleaso came out as bright as or brighter than when washed with a regular detergent.( it increases the value of bleach more than detergent)

C. The bleach typically used on soft fabrics tends to be more expensive than bleach used on normal fabrics.(irreverent)

D. While testing out Bleaso, consumers did not use bleach more generously than required.(as they use less amount of it correct)

E. Consumers tend to buy expensive detergent because they believe that it gives a better outcome.
(it’s not an assumption it’s prediction)
