Given that no one will truly hold you to what you write in your MBA application essays, I would not worry about the technicality of sponsorship (as mentioned above). That said, you certainly still want to be decisive when discussing your career goals.
With a post-MBA goal of investment banking, you will really want to think about how you will leave your unique mark since it is a very common career goal. You must go beyond simply stating what position you are hoping to achieve and share your vision for improving your chosen field or company.

Hi,
I wanted to ask whether an international student should even write Investment Banking as a post-mba goal given the banks are not sponsoring international students, considering that he/she has genuine interest in IB? Even if we have a solid finance background in valuations, financial modelling and etc (skillset useful for entering IB), should we still not write it since it's a low probability outcome?
