Should I do regular MBA from IIM at the age of 30? [#permalink] New post   04 Feb 2024, 09:55
Hello, I am 30 years old lawyer with 5+ years of experience. Recently, I have lost interest in law due to pay around 20-30k and I am hearing disabled as well.

I wanted to make transition to MBA. So I gave cat and I got calls from IIM I, K and CAP.

The thing I am confused about is should I go for it at this age considering I am 30 years old. Would I be at disadvantage then rest of my peers. I have interviews nows and I am having second thoughts about it. I will be a "senior citizen" among them. Will a regular MBA help me? Will I be at huge disadvantage due to my age?

My qualifications is BA. LLB and PCM durning my XIIth.

I’m 30 too and applied to regular MBA programs abroad. Disadvantage is only if you let it be, but I think it’s an advantage with your experience in law. There will be so much for everyone learn from you.

I can’t say much about recruiting but coursework and everything- you are at an advantage

­Hello ajayb1994,

There will be a lot for you to learn during an MBA; yes, 30 will be on the higher side but it will not prove to be a disadvantage at all; it is going to be what you make of it, to be honest.
