Hi, I am an Indian male, married, 35 years of age
currently preparing for the GMAT and planning to give it next month
I am thinking for 2025 admits and my target B-schools are IIMs and ISB as planning to stay in India..
I am currently working for Govt. of India for the past 9 years in an mid-level administrative job and have a total work ex of 12 years.. I did Physiotherapy in my bachelor's and before transitioning to a Govt. job, I ran my own clinic and also worked at a renowned hospital as Consultant physiotherapist..
Should I be going for an MBA at this age? Even if I get an admit wil companies be interested to recruit me considering I will have transition my Industry..

@ishankochhar - Both ISB and IIM's (A/ B/ C) have professionals (with government experience) your age that join their programs each year. I recently worked with two candidates aged 37 and 38 who received admits at ISB and IIM-C respectively.
Typically, experienced professionals tend to enter industries/ functions where they've had some prior exposure. This will make the transition easier, when you're clear about your career goals, the transferable skills you bring to the table, and how an MBA will help.
General Management/ Operational leadership roles (e.g. Amazon Pathways, Strategy/ Operations roles at FMCGs etc.), heading start-ups or mid-sized firms in related sectors (at CXO/ VP levels), and entering consulting firms as specialists are some potential paths to consider. To that end, I'd like to understand your professional experiences to advise better.
