Should I push for decisions with another offer?

Question

I have just got an offer from Rotman, but haven't heard anything back from DeGroote yet. Is it reasonable to ask DeGroote for a decision with my current offer and scholarship?

Also personally, I'm from international, so even though the big names are helpful, but I also look forward to DeGroote cheap tuition, 2year with PGWP and COOPs, think it will be good for me to stay in Canada longer. Any suggestions for the big name or DeGroote?

Hi @JohnaCena20,
I would recommend you look at the field/specialization you are planning to study in, followed how each of the school's are offering the curriculum for that field. If you have clear objective Post MBA, on what kind of job profile you are looking for and in what company or city you can add that as well in your decision making process.

Staying longer will help you maybe get PR or start a Venture or pay back loans, if you are looking from that perspective. But professional career wise efficiency is better than duration.

Thank you I'm aware of the opportunity cost, but it's kind of hard for me to balance between them, as to me, both schools don't look that different to me, and according to the post, also no big differences between canadian MBAs as long as they are top 10 in canada.

You can certainly ask DeGroote to expedite your decision but I doubt they will. Most of these schools have their own timelines for a reason and are very unlikely to adjust them to meet the desires of their candidates. If you want to be considered, they're probably going to tell you to wait just like everyone else in the applicant pool.

We are not saying this will happen, but it's possible that even asking could affect your application negatively.
