Hi nrg53.

Since the GMAT does not offer the option of sending certain scores but not others, are you sure you have the ability to send only one of those scores? How are you thinking of doing so? I'm wondering whether the question of whether you should send one or both is moot.

The first score was taken at a test-center. I immediately chose to cancel it, and now I am considering un-cancelling it. The second exam was online -- my understanding is online results are sent individually to schools at the request of the exam-taker. Have I misunderstood?
OK, what you're saying make sense then.

Sending both seems to be a good idea.

My first score was a 43Q, 46V, 5IR for an overall 720.

My second score was a 48Q, 44V, and 3IR for an overall 740.

Consider posting this in the business school forums to see what the consultants may say about the pros and cons of mentioning both scores in your application. The 740 is probably what you want to primarily apply with regardless.

Thanks for the tip, I'll repost there.

Hi nrg53,

First off, a 740/Q48 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. Since many Business Schools have publicly stated that they don't use the IR score as part of the application process, you likely have nothing to worry about with an IR3 (and by extension, going through the extra effort and expense to send that prior 2nd Score is probably unnecessary). You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

No, you understand things perfectly.
