Re: Simon ($$) and Mendoza ( $$$) UNC ( No $) which one to go? [#permalink]
How much financial aid would you need from UNC to be able to choose them?

... before dismissing them (if they're your first choice), I'd call them up, explain the realities of your financial situation, tell them of the other scholarships, and ask.

Be professional, humble and bold.

You might just get what you need. Especially since schools are concerned about yield with CV19 running around.

......

The Notre Dame alumni I know are crazy for their school. The network will be quite a bit stronger than Simon.

All else equal, I would pick Mendoza if UNC doesn't cough up enough dough.

Agreed with the above. Would go with UNC if you can get them in line with what you believe is best financially from a “rank” standpoint.

Otherwise go to ND since you will get 2 degrees and at a relative cost. None of these are exactly in big cities so I’d assume they would recruit regionally anyways. For you to get out of the area might require networking across the states and the ND alumni are known to be close knit

I recently got admitted to Simon and Mendoza. the remaining cost for these two schools after the scholarship is the same as Mendoza has higher tuition.
UNC is too costly for me without a scholarship. So between Simon and Mendoza, Just wonder which school t go to? as an international student, I would prefer stem designated program
Simon has Stem for All specialization
Mendoza has Stem for MBA/ MSBA (not sure how it is)

Any comment?

Congratulations with acceptance. Both schools are reputable. As an MBA & MSBA student of Mendoza I will highly recommend Mendoza if you are accepted into dual degree program. Firstly, Rochester is in NY and we know how widespread COVID19 is in the state of NY. Secondly, Alumni power at Mendoza is second to none. Thirdly, fun life after school, attending a tailgate and experiencing football game are must have experience. Congrats once again, if you have question, please feel free to reach out me.
