These months ..... correctly modifies month frm june to aug.....

Correct

B. since the coldest temperatures are consistent
Meaning wise wrong option ......
General statement...no connection with the months frm june to aug
C. since they consistently have the coldest temperatures
They(who)...... ambigous

D. which consistently have the coldest temperatures

Which without comma ...wrong
Also, which refers to the noun that is closest

E. these consistently have the coldest temperature

Run on error
No conjunction or connecting modifier

'Since' can be used in place of 'because' as long as the sentence retains the meaning.

A. because these months consistently have the coldest temperatures. Meaning is pretty clear as to why the ski is open during these months


B. since the coldest temperatures are consistent. Meaning is lost. The sentence is intended to say that these month shave consistent cold temperatures


C. since they consistently have the coldest temperatures. Who is 'they?


D. which consistently have the coldest temperatures. Which refers to 'August'


E. these consistently have the coldest temperature. Run on sentence

Option - C. since they consistently have the coldest temperatures
They(who)...... ambigous

Please correct me if I am wrong here- "they" clearly modifies "June to August", since "June to August" is nearest to the pronoun "they". Meaning wise, logically, also it is correct. Hence, I thought (C) as the correct option.
Would be great if an expert can help me with the rules to identify the noun which pronoun modifies in the sentence. Thanks in advance.

Hi, so I narrowed down to A and B and chose B.
I believe the mistake I made was pertaining to the usage of "since"

According to the cambridge dictionary, which I found on the internet,
"When since introduces an action or event at a point of time in the past, we can use the past simple or present perfect after since and the present perfect in the main clause:

Examples:

It’s years since I rode a bike. (it’s = it is)
It’s years since I’ve ridden a bike. (it’s = it is)

They haven’t received any junk mail since they moved house.
They haven’t received any junk mail since they’ve moved house.

It’s been years since I rode a bike. (it’s = it has)
It’s been years since I’ve ridden a bike. (it’s = it has)"
