Someone always asks this question

https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-prep-so ... 46146.html - see the scenario where all RC's were skipped but all other questions were answered correctly (my guess is that will be hard to accomplish). It was V33-V36 result.

But if you are tryign to improve your score, skipping RC is not going to improve it. Based on this table: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-scores-83890.html, you can get almost ANY verbal score with a Q50 and still walk out with a 500+ score.

Hi rihannarz,

No, I do not think it would be wise to skip all RC questions as it would likely have a pretty significant negative effect on your score. Can you tell me the scores from your official practice exams?

Hi rihannarz,

There are a variety of different score 'combinations' that will earn you a 500 (or higher) - and to earn that type of Score, you do NOT need to correctly answer ANY questions that you think are too hard or too weird. Thus, you don't have to think in terms of 'dumping' all of your RC prompts; you should think more about quickly dumping any questions that YOU think are too difficult. In that way, you will have more time to spend on all of the other 'gettable' questions.

1) How long ago did you take your first practice CAT/mock?
2) Is a 500+ Score 'required' for a Program that you plan to apply to? If so, then when is the application deadline?
