Hi guys,

This might be a somewhat silly question but I just want to make sure I'm covering all the bases. I interviewed yesterday via Skype with a 2nd year MBA student at UCLA Anderson. He was great, easy to talk you, extremely helpful, and answered all my questions. This was my first MBA "interview" so I'm not sure what if anything I need to do to follow up. Is it general MBA interview etiquette to write a thank-you note via email to your interviewer? Or is that not necessary?

Yes, you should send him or her a "Thank You" email. I believe it's pretty standard even for skype interviews.

ALWAYS send a thank you note! S/he still took time out of their day to interview you - Skype or not. It's never a bad idea to show your appreciation!

Not really. I didn't receive a reply from my interview at Johnson and I still got in. I received a reply from my Kellogg interviewer almost 2 months after the interview!

So, don't read into it too much.
