Any international applicants got invited? It seems to be even worse for us, since we end up waiting for our turn after all US applicants have a reply.... Wharton does it the other way around. I wonder What's the logic behind :?

As far as I know, the members of AdCom do all the interviews (no alumni or current students). Hence, the members of Adcom would travel to the cities closer to Cambridge, MA then go to international cities. Maybe they would stop by more domestic cities on their way back to Cambridge.

100% pure speculation. :)

That totally makes sense, even if it's not official. Just the waiting game is driving me crazy right now, not as much as it did before, but still it's hard to concentrate on R2, not knowing what happened in R1.Well, I guess it should all be over in a week or so....

Yes, I think there are plenty more invites to come out... not one has been reported on the west coast, in DC, and internationally. Also, very few have come out of Boston or NYC. Seems like they are knocking off some midwestern and southern US cities such as Atlanta and Chicago.

No need to panic quite yet! There will be plenty of time for that later

Reading back a couple pages, it seems that based on last year's results a batch of dings were released just before Christmas. Just speculating, if history repeats itself, this year that "ding period" will take place next week.

Because most of the other schools have already released decisions for R1 (or are doing very soon), I doubt Sloan will be waiting much longer to finish sending out any remaining invites

So if you're in NYC or Boston and haven't gotten an invite yet, it's most likely game over?

No. Last year, in some cases, NE folks were invited after west-coast invites went out. Keep FAITH :)

Did you mean Northeast or Nebraska?

There were three new invites from TX according to BTG. Hopefully west coast could hear something soon!

My guess is that they already completed invites in a geographical area... but not sure which one. Some comments have been edited.

EDIT: Looks like the original NYCer and Bostoner are the two people who have been interviewed already...

I wish there was a Google Maps app that would show how the Sloan invites are moving across the globe.

Anybody from Google on this forum??

Hi Guys,
I am an R1 applicant in California anxiously waiting for an interview call. I have been fortunate
enough to get into a M7 school in R1. However due to various reasons Sloan is my top choice.
My question is this: Would it be prudent to let MIT AdCom know that I have an admit in hand?
The idea here is to signal to MIT AdCom that I am a good candidate (due to M7 admit) and
deserve an interview. However I have never heard of this being done. Could it backfire?
A buddy of mine warns me against it, arguing that Sloan might ding me if they know that
I have an admit from another top school for yield related reasons. BTW the school that I have
got into is not HSW.
Your advice is appreciated.

I'd say there are two reasons it might not be a good idea:
1) The reason you mentioned, yield concerns.
2) It's risky logic you're suggesting to them. You're basically saying X accepted me so Y should accept me. And your logic is that 'because X accepted me, that should signal to Y that I'm good enough'. But from Y's perspective, you're saying "I know you guys have been evaluating candidates for many years... but X school already evaluated me and gave me the thumbs up, so no reason for you guys to go through all that work evaluating my profile, just trust X". This is something they probably won't enjoy, particularly when Y likely views X as a competitor/rival.

@Romano25: The culture and value of schools differ from one another. By suggesting that I'm a good fit for X is equivalent to I'm a good fit for Y shows that you know nothing about both X and Y. If I were the adcom for X (the skool u'r still waiting to hear from), I'll not invite u for interview cuz clearly you haven't taken any initiatives to learn about my skool and it'll just be a waste of time for both sides.

Hi Guys,
