Got my interview invite this morning (DC area) and I am not a reapplicant. Good luck guys, hang in there!

Are they sending invites on Saturday too? Or was it yesterday?

It was Friday, the 16th.

I'm getting really depressed.. thought my profile was perfect for MIT but seems like they do not share my view..

I wonder if it's all over for us here in NYC.

Did all last year dings come out on the same day ?

And were people's decisions deferred to R2 ? I couldn't find a definite answer..

Agree that it's such a torture, but I also think the game is not over. If you believe you're the perfect fit for MIT and have the stats to support it, then you should have the confidence you're going to at least get an interview. I don't know about you, but before I apply to a job, I kind of having a feeling for my chance of getting an interview.

In any case, just one more week to go. If I don't get in Sloan, I know I've tried my best. Who knows, it might be their loss (just like how HBS regrets every day for not taking Warren Buffet).

I can't agree with you more. Lets wait for one more week and see the outcome.

Thanks for that. I guess I usually agree with your approach, but having such uncertainty during this process is kinda bugging me out.

Interviewees are asked to "please provide an official copy of your transcript to your interviewer (certified or notarized copies will be accepted but subject to verification before matriculation)."

Does anyone know if it needs to be sealed? Or as long as it's official? I have an official copy but it's opened...

Thanks!

"Official transcripts" should be sealed and stamped to be official.
How much time do they give you from the invitation email to the date of interviews?
You should order new official transcripts from schools you attended..

Thanks! +1 kudos. I have about a month to get new transcripts so they give reasonable time.

[quote="truecolors"]Have any international applicants received interview invites? Anybody from India?

Nothing here.. I am from India but reside in Boston. I saw somewhere earlier on this thread that East coast invites (i cant confirm) have been sent out, so it might be all over for me :(

Yeah, they need to announce a date when they will give out the interview calls/rejects. They shouldn't leave us hanging like this. Once I get my notification, I will give them this feedback.

Exactly.. A firm notification date helps keep the anxiety under control..
So by the end of week we all get to know...one way or the other?? Or do they keep people hanging until January....

Any chance MIT waits until after decisions from many of the other schools that are releasing decisions this week? Is there a level of collusion between programs in acceptances, or do they have no idea that candidates have gotten into other schools?
