Do you need to take the official transcripts with you to the interview?

Yep! That's what it seems like from old threads.

This people totally get the prize of "the most irresponsible and chaotic mba admissions department".

I guess I don't really understand all the ruckus about not having been ding'ed yet or why the lack of dings would indicate that their admissions dept. isn't being run properly. Unless i'm mistaken, I think most programs do all of their ding/accepts on acceptance day or very close to it.

Now, certainly, if you haven't gotten an interview invite at this point, and I haven't either, there's a good chance you/I will be dinged, but I don't really see why anyone has reason to complain that they haven't been officially ding'ed a month in advance of the decision date.

I realize MIT has offered early dings in the past, but maybe they've simply decided not to do that anymore.

Most schools announce an "interview decision date" - some midway between the application deadline and the final deadline - when they tell you whether they are calling you for an interview or not - you don't have to wait until the final admit offer date to find out that you've been dinged without an interview. Sloan makes it even more confusing for us by saying that they will be sending out interview invitations up until Feb 6 - that's obviously misleading.

Its been 2 months since we submitted ours application and they still haven't decided who all to call for interview.. .. looks like they are struggling with their iPads.

My only guess would be that some people are withdrawing from MIT due to R1 admits to other schools, and they will release a few more local invites based on this. A waitlist, of course, is also possible.

As much as I appreciate the Adcom's effort in reviewing our applications, I do think it's a bit bizarre that less than a week before the R2 deadline, only 1 person has been admitted based on Pg1 of this post.

If you read the application / decision deadlines page on the school's website, you would find it to be expected.

My resume is 1 page but the app website adds its headings and pushes a few lines to page 2. Is it recommended to keep the length to 1 page after the app generator adds its headings? Thanks.

Yes.

Try uploading as a PDF instead of Word document, to see if that will avoid the squeezing of your document.

Hi everyone,

FYI - I contacted the adcom recently and they confirmed that a notarized copy of transcript is also ok, no need to confirm it with the university. In my country this makes a great difference, so wanted to let you know just in case.
Good luck to everyone still waiting to be interviewed!

I don't really understand how someone is already admitted? Is that a typo? They don't release admits until Feb 6....
