I will go with option A.
Drilled down to A and B but the had been in B dosen't make proper sense .
What's the OA.

This is tricky one ..
i think we require or here. and is wrong ...artifacts will be either defaced or carried away undamaged ..
B , D E ..
last April in starting changes the meaning in E .
Boiling to B and D....
will go with B ..first it was designated for exhibition , but before that it got looted..
So designation then looted ..
So B ...
