Incomplete question.

The question needs to give a clue for knowing the time in which Sophia files the return.

Question is complete.

we are given following information about Sophia

1. She gets 55 for each tax file
2. She takes 2 + 3/4 hours to complete 1 file which can be converted into 165 mins

now we can check how much she makes a minutes = 55/165 = 1/3 per min = 1/3*60 per hour = 20 per hour

thus option C is correct

Amount earned is $55 for each tax return which takes 11/4 hrs.

Hence, amount earned per hour \(= \frac{55}{11/4} = $20 \)

\(\dfrac{$55}{2 \frac{3}{4}} hrs= \dfrac{\frac{$55}{1}}{\frac{11 hrs}{4}}=$20\) per hour

Work = Time * Rate
Work = 1 file
Time = 2.75
Rate = 1/2.75

revenue per file is 55$

Revenue in 1 hour = 55* 1/2.75 = 20 $
