I am trying to figure out what specialization of MBA best works for my profile.
Work Experience: 5 years 7 months as of now in the current industry of Information technology sector . I quickly adapted to IT culture coming from Mechanical Background. I have worked with clients from telecom, pharmaceutical, energy production, steel, power (conventional and non conventional), banking, chemical, paint/warehouse management, petrochemicals, clothing industries. I am a SAP ABAP consultant and have knowledge of sap cycles of sales and distribution and warehouse management in these industries.

From speaking with managers and top MBA students, it seems that specialization has zero impact on your career path. Sure you can take analytics courses if you want to be better at excel but overall it makes no difference. You will also notice that top schools don't really have specializations either. Take whatever classes you feel you will enjoy!

I can throw in an anecdote here:
Of the firms I've worked some of the MBA resumes that come through don't even list their specializations or majors. There appears to be a general feeling that the school name is what's initially focused on (and you can show interest through the numerous school organizations). So I'd echo the above on taking something you enjoy. Although it will be noticed if you have one of those distinctions (top x% of class or w/e) but how much that weighs? Couldn't tell ya.
