Hi vingmat,

Focus on learning from your mistakes. Yes, do take additional practice tests. While it's psychologically comforting to get a score that you feel comfortable with during practice, it's more important that you don't repeat mistakes on the real thing.

As an example, see if you can learn something from this CR video: https://www.gmatpill.com/criticalreasoni ... Estate.mp4

And if you need to take an online CAT test at the very end - you can go to: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... ctice-test

The MGMAT and GMATPrep CATs are excellent, so no need to take a Veritas test to "get another baseline." That would be a waste of time right now because you just took an MGMAT CAT.

To be honest, your prep is clearly ineffective. To go from a 640 to a 580 and then 510... things need to change. You need to make positive changes to how you are prepping to get your score going up instead of down.

If you are passionate about the self-study route, check out my guide: GMAT Clarity (amazon link). I'm happy to help you use it.

Or, it might be time to look into a course or tutor. MGMAT and Veritas are widely regarded as great courses.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I just gave another MGMAT (Full exam with Essay and IR) - Got 530.
There is definitely some introspection I need to do to improve.

My RC performance was horrible - I think the issue is focus and gear shifting. SC/RC/CR etc.
I never had such poor results on RC.

My Quant is consistent at V40 on MGMAT and Gmat-Prep.

I have exhausted MGMAT books - Except CR, e-GMAT and OG13.

Its not concepts that are not clear - Its their application where I fail.

Yes, you need to practice more effectively to improve your application of strategies. Fortunately, you still have the Quant and Verbal Review, and Question Pack to work with. The Question Pack especially can help with gear shifting.

Again, you need professional help in some way. If not guidance on self-study, a course or tutor would be the way to go.

Took the first Veritas test - 7 are included as part of GMATClub.com premium membership.
Got a 680.

MGMAT I am still at 530. With just 2 of 6 mocks remaining.

If the difference was 30-50 points - I would be ok. But the difference here is 120 points.

MGMAT is definitely more tougher.

GMATPrep Exam - 3

670 Q47 V35 !!!

Yahoo!! - First time I have been able to cross V30. Few days left for GMAT.

If only i can finish the last 10 questions in each section.
Timing this out is so darn difficult.

I'm glad to see your Veritas Prep test score was so close to your GMATPrep score! Please keep us posted on your progress!

What a fiasco.

Got back from test center with a 610 - Q46 V28.

I have no clue what went wrong on Verbal. I may have run on of time on the last question. (did not hit the confirm button.)
But V28 is a disaster.

I had even completed the e-GMAT course for preparation. So much for their 4 point improvement guarantee.

I spent 6 months preparing and 2 weeks complete time off - 90% focus was verbal and 10% Quant.
This is not good. Not good at all.
