Michigan Ross announced the option to request a waiver of our standardized test requirements for the 2021-2022 admissions cycle. What other schools will follow suit? Yes - I received a wavier from Darden with a lower undergrad GPA (3.2) than the average GPA of the class of 2020 (3.5). I focused on the quantitative work in my first five years of work (Audit/Deal Advisory at a Big 4 firm) and mentioned that I am a CPA. I am constantly on new deals and critically thinking through massive data sets which i skinny down and make decisions off of.

So i would suggest speaking to quantitative experiences, but in a poetic manner. The top schools that are offering waiver applications (NYU/Cornell/Michigan/Virgina) all have different word maximums (i.e. 100 words, 300 words, etc.) so you will need to engineer your statement accordingly.

Interesting! A chat group dedicated to test waivers :cool: Nice.
So far only Ross has announced it but as long as GMAT Online is a 2-shot test, it will likely be a challenge (at least in places that are still in lock downs with test centers not operating. I know some of the western countries are coming out of the lock downs and pandemic but who knows what will happen with all the variants moving around). Fingers crossed we won't need more lock downs and can freely take tests at the centers.

The thing is I can only find US B-Schools offering GMAT waiver, while the pandemic is constant throughout world.
Online GMAT is a lot more to take in with whole that proctor thing, and the connection problem, power outage, and what not.
Don't know how viable this online exam is. It will definitely help a lot of students if schools can become lenient in this standardized test.
