Hi:
Your plan sounds good to me and I'd like to share a few observations:
While solving questions from the OG (or any other source), squeeze each question for every drop of juice. I recommend the following process:
1. Before solving the question, ask yourself - "How is this question different from all the other questions that I have solved?"
2. While reading the question, ask yourself - "What are the knowns and the unknowns in this question?"
3. Before starting the calculation, ask yourself - "Do I have the knowledge to go from the known to the unknown?"
4. After solving the question, check the answer.
5. If your answer is correct, ask yourself - "Does my approach match the approach given in the explanatory answer? Which approach is more comfortable? Is there anything new in the method explained here? Is there something new I need to learn to master this approach?"
6. If your answer is incorrect, ask yourself - "What approach is given in the explanatory answer? Is this a new approach? Do I need to revise some of the old concepts to master this approach? What did I do differently?"
7. Write all your findings in the
error log.
Summary: Understand why the right option is right and why the wrong answer is wrong.
This might appear slow, but this is the path to mastery
Regards,
Amrith
