If you're new to the GMAT, consider taking an official-mock after getting a bit familiar with the material. Could help give a sense where you currently stand (including on the three sections) and how you may want to structure your prep going forward. Checking out posted debriefs by people who've finished their GMAT journeys could also provide some helpful insight. Fair to say including official-mocks/official-guides into a prep path would be a solid choice.

I would suggest that you take a look at The Definitive GMAT Study Plan - 2025 Edition, written by bb.

It will provide a lot of essential concepts and strategies, as well as direction to useful resources.

Until end of this year or even Q1 2026 is a lot of time. Spend some time finding the right approach forward, and it might save you a lot more time in actual prep.

Best of luck.

Good afternoon to every one,

I'm asking for some tips and tricks in order to build up a consistent study plan, the target objective is to do (and hopefully ace) the GMAT Focus at the end of 2025 or in 1Q of 2026.

The AS-IS condition is below zero (i can say under zero because I took the HULT assessment test online couple of days ago).

In my mind i would like to follow a step by step approach (i will have ~ 1 / 2 hours per day (worst vs. best case)):

1 - Recover all the basics of Quant and Verbal (4 weeks)
2 - Re-assess the level achieved (1 week)
3 - Start the preparation with the official guide and in parallel doing exercises every day (16 weeks)
4 - Re-assess the level achieved (1 week)

Some questions:

- What do you think about the starting condition? Is it common? Am I alone?
- What do you think about this plan?
- Do you have any suggestion for the plan implementation (e.g. Detailed test books, useful summaries, ...)?

Every simple and coincise answer could be very, Thx in advance
