You would send 5 scores upon completion of your GMAT exam. The colleges will receive the score but you won't get any confirmation per se. But you won't have to submit it yet again should you choose to apply at that college. It usually costs additional 35$ to submit the GMAT score to a college (if you didn't choose it in the 5 colleges initially), upon which you get a confirmation that your submitted score has been received by the school. Though you would need to do this only at a later stage of your application or as a part of application. So you need not worry right now.

Hi Shaashwat,

Admissions generally does not give you feedback regarding your GMAT score. However, if you are wondering how your GMAT score stacks up for the schools to which you plan to apply, I suggest doing some research, so you are aware of the average GMAT scores prior to applying.

Hi,

After sending my GMAT score to colleges I'm keen to apply to, do any of them respond back on email or any other way stating that the score is good enough for me to continue my application with them? Or is it only upon submitting the application will I be told if the score is good enough or not?

Thanks in advance!

- Shaashwat

Hi Shaashwat,

The schools do not provide any feedback on your GMAT score. Your chances of admission depend on your overall profile and GMAT score is only a part of the application.
