Hello everyone, I have a question for everyone here and consultants!
Background: I researched at Weill Cornell for a few years after graduation and then went into sales/account management in a clinical and medical research distributor(juggernaut in the field) after deciding graduate school was not where I wanted to go. I want to go to business school to eventually work in a VC/PE firm in the healthcare/biotechnology space. I am taking two classes right now (almost done with 1) and also run an organization on the side so I need some time flexibility regardless of what I do. I am approaching 3 years at my current company.
Lately, I have been recruited pretty hard at companies in my field that will pay 50% more than I make at the moment, but they are all in the same medical and clinical sales industry. I want to leave my job, but I don't want to be in the same industry with the same role.
Should I take a better paying job in the same industry where my role is less strategic and more sales? Or should I wait it out, finish my classes, possibly take the GMAT again, and then jump to another position in a more desirable field?
