There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
Some people are afraid of Kira questions, especially the written one. I have a special advice for people who face written question. The question measures your ability to communicate effectively a certain message. For example: I was asked to write an email as a CEO to my company's employees about lay off decision. It was not in my practice questions. No many schools ask for Kira written question. I will detail how I tackled this question.
1- Comprehend the question in minimal time. Remember that you have only 8 minutes. In short it boils down to 'email for lay off'. It took 10-20 seconds. The stem is short. You won't have a passage.
2- Put yourself in position of the sender. In my question above, I set the tone of a CEO addressing his employees. I had very short introduction to lay out the context of my email just in 1-2 sentences. For example: We currently are facing harsh time and the company has to survive....etc.
3- The main secret is that you can have your ASSUMPTIONS/SCENARIOS when writing the email to give a context. I have mentioned how the company struggled a lot in this economic time. I mentioned 2-3 actions that the company took in order to avoid any hard decision. Then, it comes how I communicate the lay-off message with sadness.
4- You can have a nice conclusion, if you have time. I added 1-2 sentences that the company would give priority for hiring to its fired employees who are the real asset to this company.
I hope this helps and Good luck for application.
