Great advice on taking only 5 minute breaks. You do not want to lose any time on the test. Be back in your chair ready to start the next section with 2 -3 minutes left on your break.

Also, don't drink a bunch of water. If you have to go to the bathroom, you either lose time on the test (not an option) or you're going to be uncomfortable until the break and that can hinder your ability to cocentrate.

As for AWA - read this by ChineseBurned:

1-t64327?hilit=chineseburned

You'll do fine.

do a set of pushups before the exam and at least 10 pushups after the Q break...

I kid you not but that gets your blood flowing and makes you more relax..i have personally seen a 20% improvement in my V score after a 20 pushup set

He is probably taking it right now? :-D
I think the score will be stellar from all the practice test results, though.
Nothing to worry about.

WOO HOOO - "pretty satisfied?" Were you scoring 810's on your GMATPrep stuff and this disappoints?? Just kidding That score rocks!

It's interesting that the 800Score.com calculator is off by a bit. It says that Q50, V45 is a 780.

Damn. 780 would have been really nice. :o Any chance they'll change my 770 to 780?

My pratice tests averaged 770 so I guess my target was 770... Was still hoping for 800 though. At 770, I guess anything is possible. I would have been a bit disappointed had I scored less than 770 to be honest.

The GMAT guide says 760-800 are better than 99%... but do we have more specific figures for 760, 770, 780, 790 and 800? After all there is a big difference between 760 and 800 yet both are "better than 99%"

Heh ;)

I was pretty happy when I saw that score on the screen though. I thought the math section hadn't gone that well as I had to rush through the last 6-7 questions or so. I wasn't really sure what to expect.

Are there any chances that a score like this can let me in a top10 school or so if I have no relevant work experience and a GPA of 3.2-3.3? I don't think so but I'd love to hear your experience/thoughts on the subject.

On the work experience front, its all relative. Do you mean you have NO work experience or you have work experience that isnt business related? If you mean the latter, adcoms often love when people come from odd-off-the-wall work backgrounds (i.e. professional treasure hunter, peace corp, pygmy elephant trainer).....

I have work experience but it's not business related... no management or anything like that. Stupid stuff like cashier, doing maintenance, etc. Nothing too crazy.

Ya I agree. It totally depends on the rest of the package that you present. Depending on the details of your background and how you execute your application, your chances at a top-10 could range from extremely good to you-haven't-got-a-prayer.

Probably "haven't-got-a-prayer"... eh

No matter. Harvard would have been pretty cool though ;)

Is it worth it to do it again to try and get 780? I'm sure I can do it but I don't think it's worth it... Already spent one month studying for this one and I don't really feel like studying another month :P

Congrats Kotu :!: :!: :!:

So your only "review" materials were the OG, OG Quant and OG Verbal? That's it?

Just wondering. Best of luck on the apps.
