Well, I have to agree that around 1995, they occasionally would do that. Then ETS got angry and had Chinese ministry of education interfere and threated to shut the shool down. They then stopped doing that.

I think with the rise of their popularity, they will realize that integriy and public image are becoming more important than pure success.

Whether they still send students in the test room to "memorize" problems, I don't know that. Perhaps it is a rumor, but I don't know for sure.

In any case, they are very very hard working and intelligent people, and I have tremendous respect for them. They have built an educational empire out of despire.

Impressive no doubt.

You changed my mind - i imagined them being a small sleazy place that lives off illegal questions and memorization rather than strategy/education.

No offense, but many bschools are cautions of Chinese applicants due to finagling of diplomas/resumes/essays/interviews. I heard UCLA had a lot of problems with this. I also heard that they are admitting any chinese this year either due to SARS or due to that infamous story about admitting 10 people from China who "paid" their way into it.

but I am glad, this is not true in this case.

Bogdan.
