Certainly, many of you have already heard about the events that took place in Israel and the unfortunate and untimely death of Taylor Force, an Owen student. From what I've read, Taylor appears to have been an incredible individual having had substantial career and scholastic success and serving in the United States Army.
My thoughts go out to the Force family and the entire Vanderbilt community.
Mods, if this is the wrong forum for this post, feel free to move it. However, I am sure there are a lot of students and applicants that have Taylor and his family in their thoughts and prayers today.

Thank you for sharing. It is extremely sad and dumb to see a person with such a big heart be no longer with us. On a side note, I received an absolutely tactless blast email from P&Q blasting this news update. Seemed inappropriate to try to capitalize on the sadness of others. Perhaps I am over sensitive but seemed a bad taste
Truly is a senseless act of violence. Unfortunately, these random acts of terror in Israel have been happening on a daily basis for months. From what I've read, Taylor's wife was seriously injured as well. My thoughts and prayers are with her and the rest of Taylor's family. Extremely sad.

Oh! This is very shocking news. My thoughts go out to the Tyler's family and his classmates at Owen who will be missing him every minute. The US Army veteran, Tyler was on study tour to Israel with his classmates to gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and also to help start-ups in Israel. May his soul rest in peace!
