Hi All,
I have received admission to the 1-year MBA course from one of the IIMs for the coming session of co' 25. I wanted to understand if big technology firms like the MAANG companies come to the campus for the 1 year MBA programs for recruitment. Do they come to some specific IIMs for recruitment? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

­Hi,

A lot of Tech companies come to IIMs for recruitment. You can find the list of all the companies from the placement reports. Did you check them?

Hi Nikhil
I did check the placement reports. The PRs of the 1 year programs at IIMs are not so transparent when it comes to naming recruiters. I wanted to know the companies that are recruiting.

Hi, I have been following the recruiting scene at IIM A closely through my mentees and I can tell you that a very large percentage of the recruiters who came this year were tech companies and they were recruiting for tech roles, though the MAANG specifically did not come this year. The market is down a bit anyway, but the MAANG companies have come in the recent past. I am not sure which IIM you will be studying at, but the PGP programs such as IIM A and B certainly have a very good reputation, and a few years after graduation, salaries shoot up so steeply that some of my friends have had trouble finding the right exit opportunities.  :)

Big tech firms do recruit from the top IIM's for sure; cannot comment on whether the MAANG companies, specifically, do, every year. If a direct answer is not available in the placement reports, you may seek information interviews (on LinkedIn) from those who have recently graduated from your target IIM; that would be the best way of getting an accurate answer.
