Was fortunate to be accepted to both Carnegie Mellon Tepper and Emory Goizueta. Looking to go into consulting and would like to maximize my chances at MBB/Big 4. I don't really have any desired geographic area for post-MBA employment, though I'm not big on NYC area. I was offered scholarships at both programs: $20k at Tepper and $50k at Goizueta. I am thinking there might be room to leverage more from Tepper, which only makes the decision harder. With the scholarships as they are, I am leaning towards Goizueta. On the other hand, I think Tepper lends a bit more academic credibility. Atlanta also makes more sense for my partner's career, as it's definitely somewhere we could see ourselves working.
I'd like to hear thoughts on:
If I can get a similar scholarship from both programs, I'd lean Tepper, but leaning Emory as it is now.
I'd like to hear thoughts on:
- 1. Placement with MBB/Big 4 consulting
2. Academic strength and brand perception
3. Culture/city lifestyle

Looking at raw numbers without any insider knowledge, Emory, likely due to its location in part, is geared heavier towards consulting.

Checking to see if abhimahna has any info to weigh in on this and put your mind at ease about consulting at Emory.
