This is the site which has the likes of rankinsgod et al...even I went through the thread just 10 min ago and it was so sad to see people so desperate about their own situations that they just cannot believe that someone got some good news at last....

And By the way, Lanter1, congratulations!!! I have my interview tomorrow with an alum in India...

I think this process drives some people to near madness. Follow the Kellogg thread and its a lesson in how to spiral downhill into depression in 4 short weeks. So many people are bitter on there. They also are the ones that frequent it. I think they hate to see a name they dont recognize come in and post an admit when they were dinged or haven't heard. That place breeds posters that spread disinformation on purpose, so its no wonder people question stuff on there.

Things I have learned from BW:

Indians don't get into b-school. The ones I have met while visiting are obviously plants to give indians hope so they donate $200 and submit an application that goes in the round filing cabinet on the floor.

If you have a 710 then you aren't getting in because you dont have a 770.

No one but Sandy's clients get into Harvard or Stanford.

Start a thread about choosing between two schools and someone will say well its not HBS or Stanford so it doesnt matter because they are the only ones that are clearly superior to any other school in any respect.

Specifically I found some interesting tidbits about some of our valued members that I otherwise wouldn't have known: Nervous is in fact an 8 year old boy (didn't know that when I met her but 790gmat stated this so it must be true). And Lanter1 is a liar and cheat, who has never really heard of Yale but just wants to try to impress everyone because he is in fact a 54 year old high school drop out living in his parents basement.

I got a few emails after I put up the first Kellogg admit on the site. No one accusing me of lying, but asking if I really had been accepted because so many people post lies on there. I think its tough to trust info off of there. So many people post there and the only frequent posters are usually pretty rude and insulting. I could see someone thinking you were lying trying to get people excited.

I trust people here are truthful about their decisions, but you never know someone could put something dishonest out. Just think of how much more likely that is over there.

Yeah, I could see it also if I was the only one, but there was another guy who put his admit on there too. Oh well, time to relax.

Great achievement Lanter1!

Forget about that not only I dislike the lay-out of that other forum but also its users (except for those who are here  ).

Go party, forget about those "word bullies".

Post from someone on the othe forum....

"I heard from a friend that works in the admissions office that adcom is only notifying certain people before the holidays. Supposedly the certain people are applicants that used connections to get admitted. It makes influential alumni feel special when their recommendations hear before anyone else. Can anyone confirm this?"

So funny.

Who are these people? I laughed out loud when I read this.
