In this question, I was left with option A and option E in last, but eliminated E because I thought ???it???s??? cannot refer back to possessive pronoun(parallel processor???s)??? am I wrong in eliminating E for this reason?

Thanks:)

There's no rule preventing pronouns from referring back to a possessive. Long ago, some of us taught that a NON-possessive pronoun couldn't refer back to a possessive pronoun. But the GMAT doesn't seem to follow this supposed rule, so we no longer teach that. Also, "its" actually is possessive, so even someone following this "rule" wouldn't have an objection to E.
