At most 40 years old
It will include all the groups \(\leq 40\)years, so less than 20 and 20-40 year groups.
The % of total in these two groups = 35+42 = 77, meaning 77% of total = 154 million.
\(0.77T = 154.......T = \frac{15400}{77} =200 \) million
Thus, Total population = 200 million
(1) >80 years
2% of T = 2% of 200 = 4 million
(2) Females >80 years
We know the overall M:F = 1:1, but does it mean that the ratio is constant in each group..NO
So, cannot be determined
