The figure above, which is divided into 6 sectors of equal area, contains an arrow representing a spinner. If the spinner is rotated 3,840 degrees in a clockwise direction from the position shown, which of the following indicates the sector to which the arrow on the spinner will point?

All those going for D are going wrong in understanding what is spinning.
3600 gone and the figure and spinner will be as it is shown.
Now remaining 240.
If you rotate the spinner, that is the arrow, as it is given , the arrow will move 4 steps clockwise and would stop on squareand B will be correct.
However if you rotate the figure or the board , the trapezium or D will be the answer.

But here the spinner is given as arrow so B

Thank you for this helpful explanation. I am confused as to why we should not count the "x" (the starting point region) for when we are calculating the (4/6)? In other words, I counted the region we began in and went 3 over to arrive at the circle (so I was off by one region) for the answer. Thanks again.

If you are to take ONE step to right, will you be in the same sector or next.
You will be in the next sector. Look at the sketch, the spinner is in middle of a sector, one step and it will go to the middle of next sector.
