thank you for ur explaination. however i am still struggle to understand 2nd question explained on " The increase in number of focussed hour = (2.7 -2) = 0.7 approx, for the same time period the decrease in number of pages is (1-140)=20 "

is it because 0.7 ~ 0.5h, so u need to identify initially which part has around 0.5h changed in the graph? then u got the 2.7-2?

Sorry my apologies first of all. That’s a typographical error, which I should have taken care of while posting.

Question 2: According to the trendline, each 0.5-hour increase in the number of focused hours corresponds to a decrease of approximately______________ pages read per hour.

In the graph, focussed number of hours falls in the y axis and number of pages read falls in the x axis.

decrease of 0.5 in the focused hours ? Which means our concentration is narrowed to the 1 hour window gaps provided.

During those one hour focussed gap, the decrease has to be 0.5. One such window slot is (2-3) of focussed number of hours.

In this hours, we have three dots.

One at 120, 140, and 160 respectively, and the corresponding focussed hour values are : 2.5, 2.7 and 2 respectively.

An approximate decrease of 0.5 = (2.7-2), where the number of pages read per hour values are 140 & 160.

(160-140)=20 pages per hour.

Thanks for raising the doubt.

in the second question, the focussed hour value 2.5 corresponds to 120 pages and the focussed hour value 2 corresponds to 160 pages....why can we not conclude that for every 2.5-2=0.5 hrs increase, there is a decrease of 160-120 pages read per hour?
