Is the following explanation correct for the answer given?
While "between" is explicitly used for two people or things and "among" for more than two, "between" can be used when expressing multiple similar one-to-one relationships, as in "the water ran between my toes."

Here are the two most confusing answer choices:
B) The management of a workforce distributed geographically carries with it challenges such as morale, team cohesion and communication, and also accountability among all team
C) The management of a workforce distributed geographically carries with it challenges such as morale, team cohesion and communication, and accountability between all team members.
If you carefully study these two choices, Choice B carries an extra word “also”, which is not quite required here in the sentence. This makes Choice C more concise.
About the usage of between – Well, commonly we use “between” when we talk about two entities and we use “among” when we talk about more than two entities. However, “between” can also be used when we want to show multiple pair relations.
Consider the example presented by the original post:
• Water ran between my toes.
This sentence does not mean that I have just two toes. It means that every toe has a pair relation with every other toe. This is the meaning that is denoted by the use of “between” in Choice C.
So between the two Choices, Choice C emerges as the winner.

I beg to differ from the logic of multiple one-to-one relationships between two individuals in a collective phenomenon as management. It is not that the supervisor’s job extends to just one individual. It pervades vertically up and down and horizontally with peers. So the relationship is never between two people alone but among many, many others. Compare it with family relationships when a person has a relationship of a grandfather to his grandchildren, father to his own offsprings and husband to his wife, brother to his sister and so on. Such phenomena are just not isolated but are carried out individually and severally.
I wouldn’t think use of ‘between’ is proper;
