The market is singular -- so we need "remains"
we need such as for giving examples

I pick C.

recycled commodities are compared with aluminium and other other metals , so other choices can be ruled out easily.

One of those qs where we try to justify the OA.

'market' is a singular subject hence we need singular verb 'remains'.

This brings us down to C and E.

Now in C, it says commodities such as aluminium and other metals.......

Now aluminium and other metals can be used for recycling but here we talking in terms of commodities......which could be commodities of cardboard, brass, steel, aluminium, other metals and etc.

commodities cannot be aluminium and other metals......commodities could be like commodities of aluminium and other metals.

Hence E. Hope i have not confused you.
