2. The passage suggests that two planets formed in close orbits that engaged in “slingshot activity” (Highlighted) would be likely to

I. deflect away from each other
II. change the shape of each other’s orbit
III. affect the orbits of any neighboring planets

A. I only
B. I and II only
C. I and III only
D. II and III only
E. I, II, and III

Reference from Passage. Lines 6-12 mentions all the following aspects :-

'slingshot activity' refers to the phenomenon of one scattering inward, while the other outward. ie, deflecting away from each other. (prompt I)

also, the pair of affected planets during this phenomenon change the shape of each other's orbit leading to disturbed, elliptical orbits. (prompt II)

Such planets will disturbed orbits also affect the orbits of any neighboring planets (as mentioned in the last line of the passage). (prompt III)

So, (E) will be the CORRECT answer
