There is a possessive relationship between the suspects and the fingerprints: the fingerprints belong to the suspects. There is a certain relative pronoun - not who - that should be used when such a relationship exists.
What helps us identify this question as a Relative Clause question as well as identify the mistake is the following Stop Sign: who, which, that, whose, whom

There is a possessive relationship between the suspects and the fingerprints: the fingerprints belong to the suspects. This answer choice corrects the original Relative Clause mistake by using the correct relative pronoun (whose) in the case of a possessive relationship.
