The whole statement turns on reading two different marks on the Session 3 graphs (the bottom row of the "Trainees by Session" tab), so let's separate them cleanly.
First, go back to the Trainee Report tab, which is the key that tells you what each part of a bar means:
- Posttraining score = the top of the blue section of each bar.
- Six-month score = the height of the plus sign (+).
Now apply that to Session 3. "Range" just means highest value - lowest value, so you need the max and min of each mark separately.
Posttraining scores (top of blue):
- Lowest is trainee 3d at about 80.
- Highest is around 95-98 (3h / 3c).
- Range ≈ 95 - 80 = ~15.
Six-month scores (the + marks):
- Lowest is trainee 3b, whose + sits down around 60.
- Highest is up near 100 (3e and 3h).
- Range ≈ 100 - 60 = ~40.
Since 40 > 15, the range of six-month scores is greater than the range of posttraining scores - so the answer is Yes.
The one thing to watch
The blue tops in Session 3 are all bunched together in the 80s-90s (a tight spread), but the + marks are scattered from about 60 all the way up to 100 (a wide spread). That visual gap - the + signs being much more spread out than the blue tops - is exactly what makes the six-month range the larger one. You don't need exact numbers; just spot which set of marks is more spread out.
